Or cheat and buy chinese 'wings' pastry dough already cut to size! And just prepare filling, shape and boil in yummy soup! Heavenly! Hatzlacha

Otherwise lub cookbook has it the spice and spirit one

Why do my Kreplach always come out lumpy and unattractive (even though they taste good? Can anyone give hints how they get smooth, symetrical, triangular Kreplach?

Use a really good rolling pin and roll them thin, use a cup or a cookie cutter to make them perfectly round.. this way they stay in neat triangles...

Freilich it was definately worth the work.. they were incredible!!!!

Shoy18 : I know what your talking about. My mother also has something but she uses it for other things. Hers is plastic. It comes in many different sizes & you can get it in most dollar stores in the kitchen section.

Who has a nice, easy and proven recipe for kreplach? My mother usually sends me and the other children kreplach. But its not always enough. This year I'd like to make some.

What are wonton wrappers? Someone gave an idea to make it out of ravioli circles. maybe it's a similar idea. Anyway, I'd like a made from scratch recipe. But inside, you put a meat or chicken filling, usually pre-cooked. you can fry onions, and mix into the meat filling, add some salt. You put the a spoonful of the filling inside the dough circle, and close up the krepel, giving it a triangular shape. Then you either cook or fry the kreplach.

Any good recipes everyone?

I have a great recipe that calls for mashed potatoes in it!
It's really soft and comes out great without opening up in the water.
I have to find it...

wonton wrappers are square pieces of dough made by nasoya and can usually be found in the tofu section at the grocery store.

ok, here goes

2 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 oz margerine
pinch of salt

*Cool potatoes. combine with rest of ingredients and knead until soft. It may be a little sticky so sprinkle a little more flour. Set aside for 1/2 hour. Roll out to 1/4 thickness on a well floured surface and cut into 3 by 3 inch squares. fill, seal well and drop into a pot of boiling water. Remove when they float to the top. Good Luck!

Sorry, forgot about the filling! It's not in the recipe but you can cook up ground meat with onions and use that.
