does anyone know of a good SEO? (not too expensive)
I have a new website and would like to get it 'higher up' in search engines.
did anyone use one and can tell me about it?

I have studied how to do it, but have never actually done any work yet. If you google it, the results will be some very big companies. Try one of those. First get quotes; these things can run into thousands a month.

I'm a web developer.
I don't really do SEO myself but I have someone who does it for me.
PM for more details but it's not a 123 cheap and easy thing.
It also depends on what your website is about and the type of keywords you are trying to optimize for
