Just read this poem and would like to share it...

THE DREAM

As I fell asleep on a dark, cold night,
I found myself in a summer field.
The air was fresh with a fragrant breeze
and a mist lay gentle on far off hills.
And with every step of my weary feet,
I felt my problems melt away.
Round the worn out soles of my old grey shoes
an energy began to play.
The life giving power of the Earth,
rising up from the ground below.
Rejuvenating my weary bones
with her soothing, warming flow.
It filled my soul with the purest light
and lifted my face up to the sun.
I straightened the bones of my crooked back
and through the grass I began to run.
The sound of a chuckling stream soothed my mind
And my spirit soared with the carefree birds.
And I declared out loud:
If only life could be like this!

- And what is this, if it is not life?
a humble voice asked from my side.
It made me start and as I turned
an ancient man I spied.
With a shine in his eyes that transcended the years,
he waited patient for my reply.
But this is a dream and dreams are not real -
I cried to him in my surprise.
- Have you ever made a dream come true
- or staked your life on what you wish?
There is no point, I said again,
this place we're in does not exist…
- Yet everything around you here,
- is already yours, you hold the key!
- If only you would take the time,
- the treasures you would see.
- There is no beauty you can imagine
- to rival that of this beautiful Earth.
- The wonder of her nature
- that has surrounded you from birth!

But you don't understand my life is a dark and difficult place,
with more burden than any could bear.

- Then set down this great burden that encumbers you
- and let the fire of your desire light your world...

But there are so many things I need to be happy!

- Yet you have nothing here!

The work I must do is thankless and dull.

- Then change the work you do

But what if I change my life and fail?

The old man gave a hearty roar
- you tell me that your existence is dark,
- your burden is heavy,
- your work is onerous
- and you have none of the things you want from life
- and yet still you live in fear of change!
- What a strange creature you are,
- let me tell you a secret:

- Life is a gift, not earned or bought but given without condition.
- The weight upon your shoulders was lifted there by you.
- The conditions placed upon your happiness are placed there by you.
- The torturous path of your waking life was chosen by you.
- The hateful thoughts that hold you back were implanted by you.
- If all these things are of your own making then you can cut yourself free of them in a moment.
- So I tell you again - Life is a gift,
- bestowed upon you in an act of wondrous love.
- Not a trial to be suffered or endured,
- But a chance to express yourself, to push the very limits of your being,
- to experience the eternal beauty of a majestic planet and to radiate the light of love.
- Life is a glorious challenge to lift yourself to a higher plane
- And life is ready and eager to carry you there, if only you can accept the truth:
- That everything you need to fulfil your dream is inside you right now!
