A lot of my recipes call for this--I saw at the store the product has a hechsher from Texas, a D with a K in it. Is this hechsher generally accepted, or is this product? I've never seen other products with this one on the East Coast. My vaad hakashrus isn't answering their phone
Thanks for any info. Also, what does anyone know about the Qk hechsher--do you accept it?

Just what it sounds like weirdly enough--it's a liquid smoke flavoring, sort of smoke essence. It's great for adding to barbecue, chilis, and so on. It features in a lot of vegetarian recipes because the taste is associated with meats, and because it adds a depth that quick cooking veggies can't develop on their own, I guess.

I don't recognize this hechsher and didn't see it on the accepted list from our Vaad; however, I was at the supermarket today and saw some Wrights brand liquid smoke with an O-U.
I'm not sure about the QK either.
