Wanted to get both apple kugel & vegetable kugel done. But want to know if they both freeze well? Apple kugel I make is not with applesauce its with pieces of apple.
Does it hold well in the freezer??

From my experience, they only freeze so so, they come out somewhat watery...you have to heat them up well on a blech afterwards to get them dry, if you do that, it will be ok.
That said, my poor family eats almost everything frozen on Pesach except what I make for the seder, and this year for shabbos. No way that I am going to cook again for the week and the next shabbos. This year I will just start on Thursday morning before Pesach after the kitchen will be turned over, and cook up a storm. I always envied those people who have a pesach kitchen and can cook up in advance and freeze everything. So I will cook then and have fresh for shabbos and the seder and freeze for the rest of the week and the second shabbos.

I freeze both apple kugel and vegetable kugel. I freeze them raw. the apple kugel must go straight from the freezer into the oven so that it doesn't turn soggy. it tastes much fresher this way than when u bake and then freeze. Enjoy and happy cooking.

I made an apple kugel with a crumb topping containing potato starch- does anyone know if that freezes well (raw or baked)

I froze that raw and it came out perfect.

I either do that or sometimes put it overnight in the refrigerator first. Either way works.
