Do they sleep after the zman or are they up by the meal friday night?
what about shabbos afternoon?

depends what time shabbos starts. none of my kids take a nap shabbos afternoon unless they usually take a nap.
I once mentioned to my older bro that we dont make an early shabbos because then we can have a nice quiet shabbos meal, without the kids. he said that even if he didnt, his kids would still be up, because after a certain age, it doesn't make a difference.

I used to put my kids to bed right after lighting on these late Shabbosim. Now we want to have them sleep in so we keep them up. Only my 3 yr old has a hard timne & falls asleep sometime during the meal. Shabbos afternoon - no napping - they go to bed the time they go during the week.

it really depends on the age of the kids. we used to enjoy the late shabbos meals with just the two of us.
now the kids are older. we all nap on friday afternoon. then e/o is up late for the meal. shabbos afternoon e/o naps again and then we have a nice shalosh seudos.
