wow squash that is tough, basically you are setting up another home so whatever you use at home you'll need there. aside from clothes there is the necessary electronics, linens and towels, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff

I dont have a typed up list - these lists usually pop up in the periodicals after shvuos - but aside from packing clothing, linens, toys and kitchen essentials, you'll need:

broom
mop
garbage can
dustpan
inflatable tube and inflatable pool -optional
swimming gear for all
wall clock
alarm clock
baby monitor

I'll add more things when I think of them. I'm also compiling a list.

I have the exact opposite mentality. Everything in the mountains is so expensive (kosher food wise) so I bring pretty much everything. I only go up for shabbos so it's a bit different. I leave my crockpot, linen etc... there during the week and do all cooking here and only take one or two pots each week. The first week it's a bit shlep but then I don't leave the mountains with a ton of debt either.

You have a point, but certain things are better to be bought in the mountains. I learned my lesson. You don't need oil and detergent spilled over ur clothing (not that it happened to me, just to give an example)
