is this a big issue ... being anti-social ... something to regret ... I feel sad she doesn't want to go ... and I think the bus just left

is not going on a school trip okay - what would you do or say to such a kid ???

Is there a reason other than being anti-social? That's a little extreme, I think. Is everything okay with her class otherwise, besides being anti-social?

well at first the money was an issue $23
but hormones make girls a little funny - a little frummy - a little girly ... she is more of a tomboy so feels she does not fit in ... ironically they are having fun at a laser tag/rockclimbing place ... and a bbq this evening at a park - both things she loves ...

Being a teenager is rough. Rough on the teen, and rough on the parents too. I feel really bad for what I put my mother through as a teenager. LOL

Greeny, you sound like a great mom, offering to drive her was really a nice gesture...she'll grow out of this hormone-y phase eventually. (I speak from experience Wink )
