Shayna,

also watch for kids treating your house even WORSE than your own kids would. Parents can also drop off kids that are really sick and will infect the other ones, but parents will feel like you are not a 'real' daycare and just leave them there. Mad

well I alredy let one lady who is bringing her son that if he shows the slightest sign of being sick the night before, to please let me know, because it wont be tolerated..

second, I know what you mean about reckign the place, look its mostly already baby proofed, thats just a con of babysitting, I just hvae to get used to the idea of a messy first floor until my basement is ready...

You have to legalise a day care centre and have the areas you use checked for safety, also there are a certain number of kids allowed per person.
Unless you are doing an illegal day care.

as long as u babyproof your house the kids wont reck it. just put up gates where u dont want them to go.

paying problems . tell them u only accept cash bc u dont have a bank account ....
mother sending in sick dirriea feverish kids.

mothers who come early before the time and then pick up late .

and then they tell u but I was only late 10 mintes. well lady those 10 mintes is when I eat ,go to the bathroom, and clean up the reck that your kid just made for the last 5 hrs... and after those 10 mintes my kids are all home.. and I wont get such a chance again for a few hrs...

when babysitting I'd think UP TO 10 minutes acceptable, assuming it is not a regular occurance. however, were it me babysitting, I'd consider implementing an 'overtime' charge for kids picked up late... putting it right on the forms in order that parents know upfront.
