what happens when your babysitter is sick?
does your babysitter find you a replacement? does she work even when really sick? Do you have to stay home with your kid or take your kid with you to work?

I can't take my kids to work, that is not an option.
I just switched to a babysitter (instead of a day care center) so I'm looking for backups now to have a few in place.
When I babysat, I worked unless I literally could not bc I was doubled over in the bathroom with the flu. We had to bc if we didn't, the cheder wouldn't have any teachers those days.

Many people try to have a second person that can come in such a case, or they take a day off work. Some are very lucky and take the kid to work, but it's rare.

I was never able to find a backup, so when I was working I had to take off. this meant I went to work unless I couldn't crawl there.
