if a recipe calls for a can of condenced milk, what can you use as a replacemnet?

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons powered milk, ¾ cup granulated sugar and ½ cup warm water.
I've never tried this so can't report on how good it is or isn't.

myomi, have you tried this? condensed milk is much, much thicker than soy or evaporated milk, thicker even than sour cream.

It is also very sweet.
I have a recipe for Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup powdered milk
1/3 cup boiling water
2/3 cup sugar
3 tbs. butter
Mix in blender till smooth. A few drops of water can be added if needed.
I Never tried it yet.
