Anyone know what happened to Frankels library, that used to be on 16 and 49, in the basement of the store? Are they still around somewhere?

Do you mean the store that sells seforim shranks? They moved to 13th Avenue. If you want the exact address I'll get it for you.

No, I mean the Judaica store on 16 and 49, and they had a lending book library in the basement. They were recently renovating there, so I was wondering what happened to the store and the library.
Thanks anyways.

I'm pretty sure that Frankel's turned into jewishusedbooks.com

I think they no longer have a storefront anymore. I could be wrong, however.

bashinda you are right they are Jewishusedbooks.com. Another judaica store took over their store, but I'm not sure if they took over the library too or if it was just closed

Thanks Bas Hinda
Somebody mentioned to me that they 'went online'. But I couldn't imagine how a library can be online. So I see they're just trying to sell out all their used library books. Good to know. Thanks for the link.

So is the Jewish youth library the only library in BP now?

By the way they went on line not just to get rid of all their old books. They are still actively buying and selling old books.

actually--the lady that used to work there opened up her own lending library in a basement on 17th avenue and 43rd called The Library--there is a sign in front of the door in between 43rd and 44th --it has those new store triangles in front--she is really knowledgable and brings in all the new books and has a very large assortment of all types!!--hebrew and yiddish too
