You can. Make sure to rewarm before using. But it will not have the same taste as it did when you took it out of the oven the first time.

I've heard that you should only take half-three quarters and wrap well with silver foil and a bag. But I've only heard about this, never actually done it.

I do it all the time. 2 mothods

1. I bake a 9x13 and divide it into 4 parts, and freeze each part in plastic containers, separately. (that way, when I dont have company, I jsut use what I need. you can use those glad take away containers, if they close tight). I defrost it for a couple of hours on the counter, then put it into baking pans in the oven to warm up.

2. I bake the kugel into smaller pans, cover it with foil twice, freeze, and then warm up in the oven/cholent.also tasted good

I heard bake it halfway. then continue in the oven, but sprinkle water on the top to give it a new life.

I do this every other week. we only finish half a kugel so I put half in the freezer.

I cook it completely. when its cool, I double wrap half in silverfoil and freeze. when I'm ready for it, I place in the oven at 350 till its hot. it tastes just like the day I made it.
DO NOT THAW OR DEFROST KUGEL...it will taste watery and soggy.

I do the same as Twizzlers, I purposely bake a lot at a time in 8x8 pans, I have 5 kugels in my freezer now. As Twizzlers said NEVER DEFROST, put in hot oven uncovered.

Suggestion that I was given by a caterer that really works: sprinkle some seltzer on the frozen kugel, place a piece of parchment paper on it and reheat like that!

Bake it til almost done. Then freeze tightly sealed. When rewarming, put boiling hot water to cover on top of frozen kugel and then seal tightly. Bake on 350 for at least an hour to two. Unciover for a few minutes. It's delicious and tastes like fresh overnight kugel!!

I heard 'sprinkle water and bake' from many accomplished cooks. I have yet to try it.

I never have kugel left over, no mater how much I make!

I do this always. Bake it fully. wrap well with foil AND a ziploc bag. Freeze. When you need to use it, Preheat oven to whatever baking temperature you used to bake it (I bake mine at 425) and rebake for an hour. Tastes completely fresh.
I do all my kugels in a "baking marathon" and then I have potato kugel for the next few months. Saves time on Fridays!

How much water/seltzer do you put? Also, do you rebake it covered or uncovered? I may just give it a try!

I personally don't do water. If you want it to have that "overnite kugel" flavor, use water, but I dk how much, it's not my taste.
I rebake it covered for 50 minutes (yes, again!) and then uncover for last 10 minutes.
to crisp it up
