Can some one share the trick of making this into a fancy round platter with me? I want to frost half with chocolate but not sure how to cut and arrange them. Thanks!

I totally omit the sugar. The corn syrup makes it sweet enough.

I use the exact same recipe, just w/ 1 more cup rice crispies
also, keep stirring it shouldnt burn/ stick to thw bowl.
Basically as soon as it starts bubbling a bit, u can turn off flame.
Yum!!

I know this is an old thread, but I found a natural alternative to corn syrup.
Brown rice syrup. It's sweet and tacky!

Thanks for posting the recipe! Any ideas about how to store it? Also, I put melted chocolate on top, if I don't put it in the refridgerator, will the chocolate still harden (do I want it to harden?)?

ra_mom, have you used brown rice syrup successfully in peanut chews? What else do/did you use it for?

AFAIK the chocolate will harden anyway. Keep it in a cool dry place or in the refrigerator if your kitchen is warm.

Natural peanut butter

Sometimes I put in carob powder to make it darker.

It's heaven
