Just a fresh vegetable salad if it's being served during the day.

if you are being really elegant you can serve it as a starter. I think I will serve it along with chicken and kugel and a vegetable dish.

I would serve it instead of fish piping hot in individual bowls.

Personally, I think stuffed cabbage or stuffed peppers are great on their own without a side dish...Just give two instead of one.

They are kind of filling, so maybe green beans or candied carrots...or another veggie

Call me old fashioned, but it really needs kasha varnishkes to soak up the sauce.

mmm, my mouth is watering...

I serve it on top of plain, white rice or plain orzo. For Pesach I have served it on mashed potatoes.

While I am a huge fan of Kasha & Bowties, I think together with stuffed cabbage, it is too much, and in my opinion they don't go together. Although if you served it to me, I would probably enjoy it.

It's such a one-dish supper thing, that I would just serve it with a salad and some good bread on the side.

I usually serve it with potato kugel. Mashed potatos sounds good too.

OP, are you making it for Yom Tov, maybe Simchas Torah? Then of course it goes with a full meal in addition. But it could be it's own course, on individual plates or bowls. Like soup. I think rice could be served with it, in the sauce.

My MIL a"h used to serve it on Simchas Torah.
