Does anyone know if any company makes Pas Yisroel wraps (is that what they're actually called?) I love wraps and would like to start making them again.

Thanks!

They sell pas yisroel wraps where I live. You can find it in Willi or BP. They have whole wheat and barbq too.

I have never dared to taste them yet.

Any of the kosher groceries in Brooklyn sell them, large & now small size too which are great for kids. I don't have any at home now so I don't know the company.

Just curious -- are they considered
"Oileh all Shuchan Melachim" ??

AfAIK, oileh al shulchan melochim applies to the type of food, not what is formulated from it. For Example: wraps are made from wheat. Things that are made of wheat are required to be Pas Yisrael or Bishul Yisroel, because wheat products are "oileh al shulchan melochim".

Now corn for example would be the type of food that might have more leeway (I'm not saying whether it does or doesn't , ask your Rav) because it has traditionally been a "maachal beheimah", it's used for animal feed, and not a very dignified food for humans.

I don't recall seeing corn served at any festive meals, or chassunahs.

I can ask deeper, but I thought it was items WITH wheat that are ALSO
Oileh al Shulchan Melachim.

It is for that reason, many of us may keep Pas Yisrael for breads,
crackers, and pretzels, but NOT for breakfast cereals, chow mein noodles,
granola bars, Twizzlers, and until now, I thought wraps ... BUT I will ask !!

Also, the above have in common: frying versus baking in some cases.

Also, I do know many people who only eat the above items, even cereals, if made by a Jewish company (Lieber's, etc...)
What a beautiful nation, B'nei Yisrael -- keeping Hashem's Mitzvos in a harmony of different ways. I'm sure Hashem loves when we all try our best ... some of us may "go overboard" (just kidding) and some of us
"elevate" Twizzlers with our Brachos and using the energy for Mitzvos !
Hashem loves us all !!javascript:emoticon('Very Happy')

I found that the wraps in my supermarkets regular bakery department (not the kosher section) said MK - Pas Yisroel on it.

I learnt that if you continue the baking process then it's considered pas yisroel. So if you heat your wraps up first you would be doing this. I know a lot of p/p who do this with Lender's bagels.

Some hold that this is only OK if the product is inedible it its current form. Others say that, for example, toasting the bread is being part of the baking process, so it's Pas Yisroel.

We were told that if non-PY cereals were in milk, that was fine, having to do with the continuing the cooking process, I guess.

I have a label for pas yisroel wraps. It says Yossi's Pita. The # is 917-758-7676. Hope you can get them in your area.

Why are you upset by that, if you don't mind my asking?

I can think of two reasons why someone might be upset: a) not all cereals are available in Jewish versions, and the quality of the two sorts of cereals is not always the same and b) many people live in areas where pas Yisroel cereals are not available. If you have a large family and now need to import all your cereals from New York, you are going to suffer significant hardship.
