Well, she just said that 2 Rabbonim said that.

Still, I see what you are saying. When I started to try to eat only pas yisroel cereal, I noticed that there were no pas yisroel cereals (at the time) without sugar. It is possible, however, to buy corn or rice cereals, which do not need to be pas yisroel. Also, isn't there something with *steamed* grains? It's not considered "pas", but maybe it still needs to be bishel yisroel. I don't know...

Obviously this is a question for a Rav, but so the diff of opinion here is whether steamed grains are pas or not? (I have asked a Rav a similar question before, but sometimes it seems like I get a wishy-washy answer, no disrespect, just not a very firm answer, if you know what I mean.)

You want to know if something steamed is halachically equivalent to something baked?

What?

This would be a question to ask one's own mara d'asrah, AFAIK not all Rabbonim accept the leniency that you mentioned.

I'm just wondering though, why steaming, if not being considered baked would not then be considered cooked, or "bishul", which is more stringent than "pas", or "afiyas yisroel". Whereas pas palter is sometimes allowed under certain circumstances, bishul akum is never allowed. Confused
