can anyone tell me which potatoes are the best to use for mashed potatoes? someone told me that red potatoes give a good taste.... which one cooks faster and mashes better?

I like using Yukon Gold- they have a nice texture and mash up well.

No they arent brown they are gold- more like a light brown potatoe.
