Hard to beat the donut man but weiss bakery on 13th andd 50th does a pretty good job too.

Depends on what you like. I like the regular custard ones they sell in the grocery. You can try Yossi's or Weisses.

THE very best Israeli style fryed in oil(but not oily) with icing sugar on top and awesome jelly filling sufganiyot was jerusalem bakery on 39th b/w 13 and 14 but they closed about 5 years ago. I heard they moved to Queens. (Anyone know where?) They also had the best cheese bourekas! Coming in second place is, once again Schreibers

last year, when I was frequenting the OB, I discovered the best (according to both DH's & my tastebuds)
It's at 54 & 16. DOn't know the name of the place. But it was diag. across from the Dr.s office!

Yes! They make the best milchig caramel doughnuts...YUM! That's the only kind they make milchig though, all others are pareve, I believe.
Shloimie's bakery on New Utrecht and 50-51 st makes delicious doughnuts, too. They are pefect in size, too. Not too big not too small...This week's gonna kill me!
