Forget recommendations, I want to know how you get your husband to sit through one of those with you! If no one got shot in the first 5 minutes my husband's ADD kicks in. :-(

oooh, stardust!! I forgot about that. It was great! (but you have to go for the fantasy bit).

DH and I rarely watch romantic movies together. Thankfully, we're both not into them so much. The only two movies on the list we've both watched together (and liked) are Stardust and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The other movies I saw before we got married, and 27 Dresses I watched on the plane.

We also both liked Wedding Crashers and Enchanted. I think I liked Enchanted a lot more than him.

I love that... Smile

For a comedy you can try Wedding Daze. I found it hysterical.

Oldies but goodies:

My Best Friend's Wedding
That Thing You Do
Miss Congeniality
Notting Hill
Pretty Woman
Runaway Bride
You've Got Mail
Sleepless in Seattle

I LOVE romantic comedies! Great thread. I can't wait to hear other poster's favorites.

Another vote for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. But be warned, it's not the cleanest movie!

I would recommend Netflix. Go on the site, sign up, pick out the movies and they mail them to you. There is no late fee. Once you send back a movie they send you another. Postage is already payed for. You can opt to have 1, 2 or 3 movies at once. There's a monthly fee based on the number of movies you get at once.

Netflix doesn't deliver to Israel... or at least I don't think so.

I thought the same, Netflix but then realized she's in Israel. Maybe she could do the cheapest one and use their online services.

There are several websites where you can watch movies for free online... the quality tends to be substandard many times, but it's free... Unfortunately my girls aren't home ATM so I don't know the URLs offhand... when I see them, I'll ask.
