1. ice cream pie (can be made w/ or w/o crust)
crush up some sandwich cookies and place in graham cracker crust (or empty pie pan if you don't want a crust.) pour two rich's whips (unwhipped) over the cookies. Freeze. that's it!!
2. whip up a rich's whip until soft peaks form. add 1 package of instant pudding (vanilla or chocolate) and 1 package vanilla sugar, and whip a little more. pour into container and freeze.
the only problem that I run into w/ these is that they melt very quickly.

The fake Cool Whip is great, so is the Rich's. Gefen also makes one.
And the Cool Whip also comes in a light version!

You can do a can of pie filling and a package of Rich's whip, too.

if you do not like the raw eggs for health reasons, you can buy pastuerised egg whites in small cartons. they usually come in aprox. 500 ml and can be found in the refrigerated section near the eggs. there are a couple brands with a hechsher.

Pareve Ice Cream with no raw eggs
1 c. white sugar
1 c. pareve milk (I use soy)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 Rich's whip
Combine sugar, soymilk and egg in saucepan and cook on low heat, stirring constantly until mixed together. Cool. Add vanilla (or other flavoring). Pour into a container and freeze until mooshy. Remove from freezer and beat until mixed and fluffyish. Beat Rich's whip separately (not frozen yet). Fold Rich's whip into mixture. Freeze again for 1 hr. Beat again. Freeze until done. Makes 3.5 cups.

poured it into chocolate gram-cracker crust, sprinkled choc. sprinkles ontop.... and will open a can of cherry pie filling to put a cherry or two plus some of the thick filling ontop of each slice b4 serving.

Thats basically making a custard, which is what I asked about. Such an ice cream is usually done with milk, if you tried it with soy milk and it worked, then I'll try it today (I'm thinking of making it strawberry or blueberry swirl. place sliced strawberries or blueberries in a bowl... sprinkle with sugar until syrup forms and fold in streaks before final freeze. I'll let you all know how it comes out)
