I saw the movie, loved it and am looking for the words on the main song that is being sang a few times 'dont you cry, my dear child', if anyone have it, would you mind to give/write it to me? I would really appriciate it.

I read the book years ago. What do you mean, you saw the movie? Is it a girls production? Did someone make a movie out of it? Where do you get it?

A former film star or producer or something related to that - who found her way back to yiddishkeit - made a stunning film of this book which was shown all across New York.

Here is a link to their site where you can buy the cd:

kol neshama

The movie was very nicely done. I think the director said that they are going to try to bring it out on video some time in the next few years, but first they want to show it in the various Jewish communities.

thanks.
I just want the words on the first song, I do not really like the rest of the songs so I wont buy the cd just for one song.
just hoped someone would have the words.

Hi there! I'm new to imamother, and thrilled to bits to see someone mention A Light for Greytowers... I'm in it! Smile

The lyrics to Anya's Lullaby ("Hush, My Darling") are;

Hush, my darling, don't you cry,
Remove the tears from on your eyes,
Hashem will guide us through the night,
Sleep and dream peaceful dreams.

Emunah, in the one G-d above,
Bitachon, in His eternal love,
Torah, it shows us the way,
and gladdens our hears throughout the day.

By Levi Garbose.

Enjoy!

I know the author personally (mishpacha) she's actually hilarious, so it's amazing that she spun out this serious story years ago.

Shakleemom, do you write for the Mishpacha?

LOL no, she's family/mishpacha... But I have written stuff, landed in the mishpacha once or twice, mostly other publications. Mishpacha editorial staff has an agenda. Sha sha... can't talk too much.

Haha! LOL Cute how I automatically assumed that you’re talking about the magazine “Mishpacha”

random -- I've been in Kol Neshama every summer from when I was twelve through the movie and two episodes of the Camp Bnos Yisroel middos series videos (2000-2006). Very Happy We must've met!

About buying copies of the movie -- right now, they're only leasing the film to organizations and not selling it for home viewing on DVD. They may let it out eventually, but for now, it's only being publicly screened.
