I just heard about this great organization based in Ra'anana Israel, they have an amazing project helping not only needy people make shabbos but also needy busineses.
It goes like this: They purchase a full shabbos meal from a caterer in Sderot (that otherwise would not have parnasa), add some nosh and a drink (from a shop that has suffered from a lack of cliental willing to braze through rockets during the past eight years) all for 35 NIS or 9$ and deliver it to a family who can't afford to make shabbos.
This idea is just briliant.
Hope you guys all feel the same.
Check this website out, they also have other project that sound great: http://www.tabletotable.org.il.....d=174

tabletotable also goes to fields and orchards, picks/harvests the leftovers and gives them to the needy.

Note that the price is PER MEAL and not per family. Still very reasonable.

Of course but if you figure that a family is about 5 people so for about 180 NIS you feed an entire family - very reasonable.
I just noticed they have a new purim project - I'll have to check this out also.
Honestly, I've never heard about them until last week but I am so enthusiastic about them I am telling the world.
