I'm making pizza for supper tonight.
I want ideas for side dishes.
I would like to make a soup, but not a time consuming one, however my 3 year old wont eat soup so I need something else to go with too (besides a fresh salad)
Any ideas?

Think pizza shop. French fries. Onion rings.

I make veggie pizza so I don't have two things to do, but that's just us, I guess.........

If I was making three pizzas, one would have sautted onions, garlic, mushrooms, and green pepper.

One would have olives and cheese.

The third would have tomatoes and ricotta cheese, and noodles if I had anyh leftover .

Ditto, I would also serve green beans. I like to have some type of vegetable as a side dish when I make pizza or pasta.

I see my family is much more difficult then yours.
I prefer not serving french fries. Something else....
Vegie Pizza is out. My son won't even look at it, an my dh doesn't eat mushrooms, peppers or onions ( :-( )
Same with green beens. My dh would eat that, but my son wont.
I think I'm looking for the non-existent.
I'll make a soup for myself and my dh (my younger son might eat that too) but I'm still looking for something the big boy would eat.
Do you think that pizza and a salad is enough (yes, he eats raw veggies) or maybe vegetables with a dip.

Do your kids eat corn? I normally make soup and salad when I make pizza, once in a while french fries as well. The corn tends to round the meal out for my kids, who tend not to really eat the soup, and only pick at the salad.

Corn isn't a vegetable, it's a starch.

I'm aware corn is a starch. I never said otherwise. She asked for a side dish, not specifically a vegetable.

Being that she has protein and starch in the pizza itself, and she said she wasn't using any veggie toppings, I guess I just assumed she wanted a veggie.

my bad.
