What can I give my 10 & ½ month old DD to drink other then milk?

She hates water, and I don’t want to give her anything with sugar in it.

they actually sell baby apple juice along with other baby foods ... in case you feel more comfortable with that ... but don't worry so much ... she is not an infant ...

the reason I would dilute it is so she gets some water too ...

never let her fall asleep with a bottle ... not good for her teeth

though you don't want your kid to become a chronic juice drinker either...

too much applejuice causes kids to make #2 and can lead to chronic diaper rash. So go easy on it.

What do you mean "doesn't like water"? What does she have to compare it to? My kids drink/drank water from the time they stopped nursing, if not earlier. DS#1 had some formula, so he got topped up with water throughout the day for hydration. DS#2 never took anything besides expressed breastmilk. Davka DS#1 will drink anything, and DS#2 will only drink water.

Unless you're somewhere very hot where the baby not drinking enough is dangerous, they should be getting enough fluid with milk and the few sips of water that they take.
If you're really worried add a little bit (few drops) of shabbat grape juice (tirosh) to water, it's pure grape juice with no added sugar and it colors the water and gives flavor. But I would avoid apple juice it causes diahrrea.

I don't know how good milk is as a liquid source Confused . I heard that sometimes you need to dillute the milk, everytime a little, until she's left with water.

you can also give water with grape sugar.
I won't give apple juice - my 4 year old is still on her apple juice bottles and has 5 root canals ( 2 done and 3 more to go) + 5 cavities.

we give our baby tea, she loves chamomile- its very soothing. you can make a jar of essence and then add a little to some water in her bottle. by the way, I am new here- what is a dd and a ds?

dear daughter and dear son.

I got instant baby tea, fennel flavored. It was fennel extract and grape sugar. My son likes it now as a treat.

I see no reason to give my kids tea, and it irks me when the daycare does it. If they don't like water you can try adding mint leaves to it for flavour (something else the daycare does that drives me nuts because I hate the smell of mint!).
