hi - has anyone ever had tubes put into their childs ears? my daughter is four years old. she doesnt really get ear infections but she doesnt hear very well and needs to have tubes put in. (she also has enlarged adenoids, but the ENT said that she will grow out of that problem and we shouldnt have them removed)
I have a few questions:
1. how major is this surgery exactly?
2. how much of a pain is it to take care of the tubes once theyre in?
3. I heard that the tubes can fall out and have to be put in again... is this true in a lot of cases or just once in a while?
4. most important - has anyone tried alternative methods of getting rid of the fluid/pressure in the ears. specifically acupuncture.
thank in advance for your help!!
