Hi,
My Daughter (eight years old)
is starting to have black spots where the side of the nose/nostril ends and meet the cheek
I'm so worried bec my face is full of these black spots and I don't want her to have it too....
she's not in any way more developed than kids in her class, she eats healthy foods
anyone have ideas how to deal with this?
I asked the pharmacy but they had no idea what to do...
I don't want to start with acne creams and all but maybe s/o went thru this and has some tips??
tia

anon bec some of you know me irl and my daughter's very self conscious...

why don't you take your daughter to a dermatologist? You would definitely get better advice than from the pharmacist or imamother.

Do you mean blackheads?
Use a good facial cleanser every night. They sell those Bio-Pore strips or the dermatologist can take them out.
Good luck

They sound like blackheads... go to a dermatologist!
Or... if you are brave (NOT me) you may find some super-hypoallergenic facial cleanser with NO perfumes, oils bla bla bla and clean your daughter sface daily. But personally I would RUN to a good dermatologist.

I agree. there are many ways to treat and prevent blackheads, not just for teens but we "grown ups" too. It's usually relatively simple and inexpensive (esp compared to other skin conditions).
