I don't have health insurance at the moment, and my dd age 4 is complaining about her ear. Is there a way to help her without seeing a doctor? I believe most ear infections subside on their own anyway, but I'm a little reluctant to take a chance.Besides, I can't really afford these expensive remedies. Is there anything I can do, cheap, without risking a neglected ear infection?

You can warm about a tablespoon of olive oil and mix it with a few drops of lavendar (an essential oil that you can buy for about 5 $ in a pharmacy). Then roll a cotton ball into the mixture and place it in the ear(s). The warm oil and the lavendar (which also has a nice smell) should help the ache. Also they sell garlic oil that you can put on to the cotton ball and stick into ears (but it stinks, that's why I prefer the lavendar). Refuah Shlaima.

is there a free clinic in your neighborhood ...
or go to the pharmacy for ear drops - to help ease the pain ...
