Good cookie recipe for cookie cutters

anyone have a good recipe that works well with cookie cutters? you know, not such a sticky dough...
I have a gr8 recipe, but it's too sticky to use cutters with- have to just make balls.
I hate the cookies that just taste like margarine- any suggestions? tx

They make mixes, too.

Cream:
3/4 C margarine
1 C sugar
Add:
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Then add:
2 1/2 C flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
I add a dash of cinnamon and/or nutmeg

Bake at 400 for 6-8 minutes.
