I always serve nebby suppers. Macaroni and cheese, french toast, scrambled eggs.
But the funny thing is, tonight I also served chicken soup and rice, but it was cooked fresh today. I made 2 huge pots and froze in smaller containers, and had for supper and for this Shabbos too.
I find chicken soup doesn't stay fresh by me for more than 2 days at most.

I didnt serve dinner tonight. I gave dh a spoon and bowl and showed him where the cereal was. so he had cereal and milk for dinner and he was fine with that.

what's wrong with chicken soup and rice? they're not "leftovers," they're an integral part of a "cook once, eat twice" efficiency plan.

not last night, but the night before, DS1 had dry cheerios and a yoghurt, and DS2 had left over rice pasta in fresh tomato soup, and dry cheerios
I had made supper - fresh soup and quinoa, but the kids weren't interested, and wouldn't even take milk with their cereal...oh well.

Well, glad to hear I'm in good company. My kids eat a rotation of fish sticks, pasta with cheese and/or tuna, Tofutti sandwiches (cream cheese, not ice cream!), and chumous sandwiches. Oh, and sometimes dry Cheerios, and usually a piece of fruit of some sort. Never yoghurt; yoghurt is breakfast.

my husband had baked potato in the microwave, with chicken left over.
I had "bought fried gefilte fish balls"
2 crackers
cream cake and coffee ,( not good for my diet)
my dd had couscous with melted cheese on top
so we had 3 nebby meals
each one to his own nebby solution

This thread truly makes me feel better. I cook chicken about once a week (besides for Shabbos). Meat maybe once a month. The rest of the time, its "nebby suppers" if that's what you want to call it. And often we will have each of us eating something else. Is pizza nebby?

Supper? Wassdat? That's when you cut the loaf of bread and take out the humus and techina and maybe a pepper or cucumber and say "eat", right?
