We had tubes put in to DS#1's ears, but didn't do anything else. I understand, however, that it's common to do all 3 at once as they are all minor surgeries and it makes it easier for the child.

It's commonly done at the same time. Each procedure takes about 20 min. so you can expect her to be in the OR for about 1hr. leave another 1/2 hour for preparation and getting her to recovery. The tonsillectomy causes the most discomfort. Basically she'll have discomfort when eating solids. for 3 days to a week, liquid and ice cream will have to be good enough.
It's usually done as an out patient procedure with very few complications.

We did tubes/adenoids for my ds three years ago. b'H it went very smoothly, by the afternoon you couldn't even tell he had anything done to him that morning. Tonsils is a little more complicated- longer recovery, but I don't have any personal experience.
