Hi, can anyone recommend a travel agent that can find us specials on airline tickets to Israel for August? Or, does anyone know where we should start looking for cheap tickets- El Al is up to $1200 right now per ticket....... is that what we should expect to pay?

Would you consider connecting via Europe? I presume you're flying from NY, so that means only LY, CO or DL as direct carriers. There are way more number of airliners flying to Europe. Also you may be able to take advantage of discount airlines between Europe and Israel. Thomson, Israir and bmi (not exactly a low-budget airline) fly between London-TLV (just be careful about which london airport they use). We also get reasonable fare via swiss, Austrian Airlines, Malev, LOT and Iberia.
