As a parent may I secretly love one child more than another, simply because he may be more similar to me in character, is smart and funny? I love both children, but for one I just have an extra soft spot? I feel guilty when I have such thoughts. Is it something I need to work on not to have? I know that I should never display this openly, at least not when the other child is there, but what about my feelings/thoughts?
