I'm sure you all must know this song inside and out by now, as it's on one of the few cds we can actually listen to these days.
Anyway, DH and I can't agree on the lyrics and I was hoping you wise ladies could help out.
I claim that they sing "שירו לה שיר חדש" and DH insists it's "שירו לו שיר חדש".
Who is right?
And also, where is this pasuk from?

Now DH says that he isn't sure at all that it's from there.
He says that the beginning and the end don't fit. Do you know the song I'm talking about?

And our shul doesn't say those psukei dezimra on erev shabbes (we start from הבו ל-ה, nusach Yerushalmi).
That's why it kept ringing a bell but I couldn't quite place it, I haven't said it for kabalat shabat in years Smile

There's also a different song:

Shiru LaHashem shir chadash
Shiru LaHashem kol Ha'aretz.
Shiru LaHashem Barchu shemo
Basru m'yom l'yom yeshuaso.
(from one of the hallelukahs in weekday pesukei dizimra)
