I pay about 5.00 a pair.

What's cheaper and lasts as long or longer? Or should I keep on paying 5.00 a pair cuz the others rip even quicker.

Oh gosh, can't remember the name of the pantyhose company I use!
But they're great, and they cost about $2.50 - $3.00 per pair.
The name of the company starts with an "M", the color I use is Honey. Anyone know which one's I'm talking about?

I use the same ones!
There was a certain time that I bought for a month straight they just kept ripping. I bought in another store & they were good. You probably got a bad batch.
I would try from another store & hope it's a dif. batch.

Yes, those are what I use. Melas. I wear either the honey color or the nude color. They really don't rip, are 12 denier, and a great texture!

I'm desperate to have run free stockings. Is it worth ordering from them? Is the texture nice and smooth or rough and cheapy feeling?

Hanes, when you order online in bulk are definetly cheaper, but they also rip very easily. (I find them more comfortable than berkshires.) Melas are cheaper than both of them but rip too, almost disposable. I once complained to Hanes and they let me mail backk all my ripped stockings and they replaced them with new ones and paided the return shipping charge (about 30 pairs- again, I buy in bulk). But when I tried that a second time, they didn't allow it...

My dh thinks the next business I should open up is a hosiery shop. My next biggest expense after my mortgage is pantyhose!

I never thought about it ... maybe try a pair and see. if you hate them, return them.
