Treatment for early onset puberty

Has anyone treated their child for precocious puberty (my child is eight) with injections of Decapeptyl? I would like to hear how it went for you and if your child grew to a normal height, gained weight on it and then lost after and if you did monthly injections or every 3 months. Thanks, I am very nervous.
