Is it the cin swirl cake on pg 152?
I don't have shortening in my house... didn't think they did that anymore, what can I use instead?
I think I can use oil but would I use the same amount?

I think you can use the same amount of oil instead. I have done this with some oatmeal cookies and they came out great.
