steep 2 Lipton original tea bags in 1 cup of boiling water. use that strong tea for the recipe.

made it with orange juice instead of coffe and came out perfect!!!!!!!!! thank you soo much!
does someone have a similar texture recipe for chocolate or white cake?

I made it with whole wheat flour (white whole wheat), and substituted agave for the sugar. Came out great. I'm giving one to my neighbor who is not yet frum, and to my friend.

I come back for this recipe every year. It's the only time of year that I bake, because there are no store bought honey cakes which come close to this one.

okay, so I just wanted to write that I tried this recipe for the first time ever before rosh hashana. Not only was it way easier and faster to make than any other recipe I ever used, but it really WAS incredibly moist! Everyone loved it!
