DS is 21 months and insists on eating on her own. At home it's not such a prob. cuz she's in a high chair and I practically hover over her till she's done. But at the baby sitter it's a diff. story. I send along a bread, banana and yougurt. Latley she's coming home w/ white yogurt stains splattered all over her cloths and it drives me nuts! Sitter lets her eat alone and she makes a huge mess.
Any suggestions of other clean, healty (preferably protein) food to send along instead of yogurt? Something that she can eat alone and not come home so dirty!
TIA

frozen peas (my kids love them frozen or defrosted and there's only a mess if they're at the table and spilling on teh floor to be stepped on)
canned beans (would go with black beans or kidney; chickpeas are still a little tough and very round so I'd worry about choking). My kids love rice and beans, so you can mix with brown rice for a full protein.
soy patty

maybe you can buy one of those smocks that the kids use for school in the smallest size? that will cover her up well and it can be washed easily.

I was also going to say... send a bib!
Things I know don't stain from my kids' experiences:
Pasta & cottage cheese (mine will eat it cold)
Tuna
Cheese sticks
Cut fruit
Cheese sandwich
Crackers with cheese
Sliced meat or turkey breast
My kids also like tofu and it's an easy finger food that doesn't stain.

dry cereal in a bag and milk in a cup: it's cereal and milk without the mess.

My DS who's 13 months has a blast taking the straw out, turning it upside down, sticking it back in, turning the yogurt/leben upside down to check how cool 'tis when it leaks...you get the picture, and it could get messy.
I send along cut grapes in a snack bag, banana, pasta and ketchup (ketchup may get very messy, but put a little bit and tell babysitter to put a spoonful at a time on the highchair), rice crackers, wholewheat bread and peanut butter sandwhich spread thin...
Hope this helps somewhat!!
P.S. I send a long a change of clothes so that I if I don't have to see the mess, 'tis not so bad!!
