They opened a sushi bar in the sheraton plaza - I haven't been there, but in general their chef, Chef Kadosh, is known as one of the best in the country - so I can't imagine it being anything other than 1st class!!!

Has anyone tried a relatively new sushi place in Nachlaot, don't remember the name but I think it's on Trumpeldor and Betzalel? Haven't gotten around to trying it but always wanted to...

the sheraton has sushi but its a rip off. check out http://www.osakasushi.co.il/ they have yummmy sushi. and they deliver if you order a certain amount.

We love the sushi at Pacific restaurant in Tel Aviv (in one of the hotels). The food isn't half bad there, either.
Why is this posted under amother? Is having a sushi fixation a no-no?

I think I remember the asian restaurant at Canion Malcha had started sushis. If they're as good as the rest they must rock.

friends of ours who made aliyah operate an online sushi, and they deliver www.sushiagogo.com to rbs area. his specialty is sushi. amazing!

I'm just very curious. Does Israel have good wholesale fish market like Billingsgate here? They'd better not get the fish from open market souk where fish stays all day on ice...

make yer own. Easy. Ingredients can be found at any grocery store (ie, supersol...rami levy...etc...) and recipes are on www.recipezaar.com. just search sushi rice or sushi.

When I made sushi for my friends last night, one friend said that the best sushi in Israel is at Sushi Rechavia.

Sushiya in Jerusalem (on Trumpeldor, off Bezalel) are very good. They used to be mehadrin but aren't any more :-(
RYU in emek refaim are good, but expensive
Oshi Oshi in Kanyon Malcha are OK

Thanks for all the responses. We do not eat any rabanut (even mehadrin) so that makes it harder to find something. We don't eat Aguda or ou either .
