Does anyone have any experience with a ganglion cyst in infants?
My 14 month old developed a bump on the back of her hand, near her wrist. We had an u/s today and that was the diagnosis. I'm assuming it came from the way she gets around --- doesn't crawl but scoots on her tush with that hand bearing most of her weight when her tush is mid-scooch.
We have a surgical consult next week but is there anything they'd do before she's completely walking if it did in fact come her "crawl"?

I have a ganglion cyst. It doesn't hurt. My children's pediatrician told me not to bother to do anything unless it is bothering me.
I read up a lot on the internet on the issue. There are people who have it drained. Sometimes it returns right away or some time later (a month, year) or not at all. People complained of the pain because of the removal - so I decided why bother.
