I think it's a great idea, GR!

I remember a falafel place in Meah Shearim where they put hard-boiled egg in the falafels.

a lot of people have bagels for brissin and upsherenishes. I don't think it's much of a treat you see it a lot....

gr, who says felafel is a treat? who says they don't have their fill of the frozen bodek balls, the israeli salad, and the pita bread?

What a wonderful idea! One day Chanuka my daughters (with minimal help) set up a falafel "store" for all the family's lunch. Everyone had a great time. The pittot were bought, falafel from powder and everything else was homemade.

I like everything you wrote, but I also like sauteed onions, green olives, potato salad, babaganoush, techina, and chumus.

GR what a really cute idea, espcially if you live out of town. We live in NY & falafel is still a treat.

SaraG, a cotton candy machine & chocoalte fountain is better? It's junk & a lot of parents won't appreciate that. Food, not desserts only are much better for an upshern.

Go for it GR! Sorry I can't add to the list of salads. I only put Israeli salad & chummous in mine.

I love your idea-and I love falafel!
for those who may not like falafel, you can supply tuna or egg salad to fill the pita with-ive seen that done in pizza stores.

sarag-if anyone can grind up chickpeas and make falafel-do you have a good and easy recipe for me?
