Today my 3 year old daughter put the toothpaste on her toothbrush "All by hersself: Her eyes shined and she smiled at her reflection in the bathroom mirror.

What a confidence boost!

Wow, that's advanced! My dd who will be 5 goes as far as licking (tasting) the toothpaste,. then splashing up the whole counter. No contact with teeth is made in the process, no bugs were harmed in making this comment.

I used to be able to stick whatever I wanted on my daughter's head-hats, headbands and hair clips but lately at 10.5 months she has a mind of her own and she isn't so cooperative. the only thing that is sometimes allowed is the clip on bows and only if we distract her in the process.

on yom tov I found her sitting on the floor and pushing the bow around on her head trying to get it to stay!

bnm, very cute story, its funny how smart your baby can be, they are really paying close attention!

Today, as I pulled up to pick up my twins from pre school, I observed them on the playground. They both ran into a small playhouse with 2 other kids had a good loud piercing scream then one by one they all exited the playhouse quietly...They enjoyed the scream with new friends it was so cute and heartwarming,

I had one last week when my stubborn little 2 week old finally latched while I tried to nurse him. but alas, it was a one-time thing and he's back on strike.

(and PLEASE, I know you're all well meaning, but don't give me advice on getting him to breastfeed. I've been working with a lactation specialist.)

my daughter allowed me to put pajamas on her with minimal fuss. she also agreed to wear her monkey shirt this morning, and willingly sat while I put her striped pink tights on her. (she refused the green striped ones that actually fit her...) she allowed me to change her into her brother's old clothes when her tights got wet, so she actually got dressed today without tantrumming all morning. YAY!

tomorrow's another day...

I danced for joy when my son, who is usually very domineering and impatient with his little sister, heard his sister whimper, and out of the blue, started talking all soothingly and tried to comfort her!! my heart was bursting!!
