I was always taught that arabs determined religion by the father. if he father is arab and the mother christian then the child is muslim. Am I wrong?

I was reading over yontif abt lev l'achim and how the arabs treat the "jewish" children like dirt and call hem names and treat them badly bu if the father is an arab then why wouldnt they think of them as arabs?

Islam is a religion and Arab is a nation.

Unlike Judaism where the religion only targets the Jewish nation, Islam targets the whole world.

Being born to a Muslim father makes you automaticlly Muslim, yes, but you're still only half Arab. For the racist, that is apparently not enough.
