On Friday, our eldest son -- Immanuel -- turned 3. And so it was, with mixed feelings, that we cut off his long hair *sniff*. After much debate (as Seraph knows  ), the decision was made not to leave long peyot (my husband does have them), it will be his decision at bar mitzva if he would like to grow them.

Much to our surprise, he has been wearing his kippa full time without issue, wants to get dressed and put his tzitzit on, and is enjoying learning Alef Baith with Abba so much that he took his book to bed last night

Wow, beautiful. Enjoy.
His hair reminds me of my (nearly 2.5 year old) son. But it's probrably a bit longer than that even, and likely to be longer yet by his upsherin.
