So after grumbling on the phone to my mil while preparing for shabbos about my hand mixer, which we bought off someone else and which does not work, she called up my husband and told him to buy me a mixer already. embarrassed Very Happy

I live in EY, so I need Israeli currency.

I mix challah by hand, but I bake a lot (cookies are really annoying without a mixer).
I don't have a ton of extra space which a stand mixer would take up, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

What do you think? and of the brands which come in Israeli currency, which are the best?

I love my kitchenaid - at least 15 years old and going strong !

Go to Zap.co.il to compare prices

I like my Kitchen Aid too...but that's not the general "reality on the ground" of bestsellers.

I also vote for KitchenAid.
Although, I must admit, that the ones I'm seeing in the stores lately (like: Shekem Electric, and other appliance stores), DO NOT seem to be the same quality as the original ones.
I don't know what it is about them, they just don't look/feel right. kinda junky...
Can they be immitations?????

I never used kitchen aid, but I have a bocsh and a ken wood. Kenwood is better for cakes ice cream etc. Bosch is better for challas especially if your making 5lbs at a go.

I have a KitchenAid. I'd love to see the Bosch in action but even though I make challah every week, I like doing it by hand, doesn't take long, so wouldn't be a selling point for me if/when my KitchenAid goes (let's hope sometime in the very distant future).

I've used both a kenwood and magic mill and the magic mill is much bigger.
