Think it's a useful item that I don't have...(was really impressed with one in my father's home)

Might be too cheap for a wedding gift though, but it depends on your circles and prices...

I have a great one but only bought it when I injured my hand. So I don't think it's the greatest wedding gift but I know how useful it can be if one needs it.

We had one growing up. It's something I would never ever buy for myself, but it's nice. I would only buy this for someone if they had the space for yet another useless gadget. It's not like it's so laborious to use a regular can opener.

we have only one reliable can opener (an oxo)
And we had a real problem with our pesach stuff that we couldn't find one that worked(I can't remember if the problem continues or if we bought another expensive oxo one in the end)....it can be a bigger deal if you can't find a regular can opener that works well.

Some are cheap ... on theother hand, some are $50 and some are $80.

I look at it like another one of those things that are cool but take up space... & something you can def. live w/o. So I voted no/no

I think the hand held ones or one that is mounted is better than one that will take up counter place.
