I tasted a carrot kugel by a sheva brochos and I asked one of the ladies for the recipy and they said it was from a cookbook that you can make with kids or from maybe quick kosher by design that has quick recipies--- does anyone kn ow the recipy if you can please post it--it was really sweet and it tasted like cake --she also put it in cupcake holders if that helps
it might have had carrots from a jar--I'm not sure
thanx

"kosher by design, kids in the kitchen" has a recipe for carrot muffins. this totally could have been used as kugel, as carrot kugel and carrot muffins are pretty similar usually. anyways, if youd like me to post the recipe, I can, but not right now, as im putting my son to sleep (resting next to him and typing on my cell fone)

That sounds like the one to me, from KBD Kids Cookbook. I make it all the time, it uses baby food jars. Sometimes I make it as muffins and sometimes pour the whole thing into a pan, like a cake.

Here goes:

1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
3/4 cup oil
3 jars carrot babyfood (12 0z)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs

preheat over to 350. mix all ingredients together very well. (I do it with a spoon) but it says w/ electric mixer. grease muffin tins and fill. Bake till toothpick comes out clean. (I usually use mini muffin tins) and it bakes very quickly like 10-15 minutes, so watch it carefully. If you are pouring into a pan, it takes longer.

if you want to do a search under myname, I have easier recipes posted here. I make a carrot puff that doesn't require keeping baby food in the pantry.

go to advanced search. put in the word Carrot or whatever you are searching for, make sure the C is upper case b/c that's how I typed the title.

put my name in Author, the whole name, spelled perfectly.

click title, since you know you want a carrot kugel (it's actually called carrot puff, but ...) and then search.

I'm sorry, I think eating baby food is gross. I gag every time it's mentioned.

It's just pureed vegetables and water! The stage three stuff sounds positively disgusting, though- turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, peas and carrots, and there was something else all blended together...yuck!
