You don't have to explain your non-alcoholic drink or pretend you're drinking something with alcohol. Many people have reasons for not drinking, and most normal people know better than to ask for an explanation.
You could be on med.
Could be pg.
Could be a recovering alcoholic.
It's none of anybody's business!

I am not going to get into a whole debate on Kashrus here, since in my house we are pretty liberal. However Kashrut.org is a wonderful site, Rabbi Abadi really knows his Halachas especially in the Kashrus department.
When I say Liberal = If Rabbi Abadi says it is Kosher we eat it.
Just to be clear on his hashkafa, he is Litfish/Yeshivish currently lives in Israel, formerly from Lakewood. Yet he is extremely open minded
