I'm neat, and I love cooking, and B"H mostly from my head. I have lots of recipe books that I bought as a young bride, but today I hardly open even one of them.

I am super creative and I get that and cooking/whipping up things in a cinch from my mom. Yes I do sometimes follow recipes but in general I enjoy seeing colors and presenting a lovely dish like a restaurant; but with all the good feeling of not having copied. I loved growing up and always having surprise guests. My mother would open closets, pull out random things and make the most delicious things. It's funny because I almost don't own any cookbooks (just a few gathering dust that were gifts). Now I see my sister in laws or MIL cooking exactly from a recipe and it does kinda reflect their personality but I don't think its all or nothing.

Oops wanted to add that no I am not ocd clean and organized but I am a great cleaning lady and enjoy order very much

When I'm on a roll I don't like to stop to clean up. I can put out many dishes very quickly and never found a recipe that I couldn't improve somehow. Now if I could only have the neatnik genes to pass on to one of my kids it'd be perfect...
